Privacy Policy
Last updated June 29, 2026 · Version 2026-06-29
This policy explains what data Inkrun collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email and authentication credentials when you sign up.
- Content — the Markdown you submit and the PDFs you generate, along with render metadata (template, theme, size, timing).
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor; we store a customer reference and subscription status, never full card numbers.
- Analytics — product-usage events, collected only after you grant cookie consent. See our Cookie Policy.
2. How we use it
We use your data to operate the rendering service, enforce quota, authenticate requests, process billing, provide support, and — with your consent — understand product usage. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Server-side product events
Inkrun records first-party product events tied to authenticated actions you take (for example, completing a render). These are sent server-to-server, carry no browser cookie, and are not used for cross-site tracking. Browser analytics, by contrast, are gated behind the cookie banner described in our Cookie Policy.
4. Data retention
We keep account and render records for as long as your account is active. You can request export or deletion at any time (see Your rights).
5. Subprocessors
We rely on the following third-party processors. "Active" means the integration is enabled on this deployment; "available" means it is part of the platform but not currently in use here.
| Subprocessor | Purpose | Region | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Subscription billing and payment processing | United States (global) | available |
| PostHog | Product analytics (only after cookie consent) | United States (US Cloud) | available |
6. Data Processing Addendum (DPA)
For business customers who require one, Inkrun acts as a data processor for the content you submit and as a data controller for your account and billing data. Our standard DPA incorporates the subprocessor list above and commits us to process content only on your instructions, to apply appropriate security measures, and to assist with data-subject requests. Contact us at [email protected] to execute a DPA before purchase.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR and CCPA), you may access, export, correct, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. From Settings → Privacy & data you can:
- Export your data — download a machine-readable JSON copy of your account, templates, render history and usage records.
- Delete your account — request erasure of your account and associated data.
8. Contact
